Quality Control Manager for the $34 Million USACE Support Facilities for the
Special Operations (SOF) Joint Operating Center (JOC) Headquarters Project,.
The scope of the Project included a Joint Operations Center (JOC), billeting
facilities, communications building, Tactical Operations Center and storage,
training facility, medical aid station, Vehicle Maintenance Facility,
logistics operations facility, logistics storage facility, dining facility,
MWR facility, and a kennel to support working dogs. Serve as QA/QC Manager to
facilitate the installation of telecommunications/IT, Community Antenna
Television (CATV), and Building Automated Systems (BAS). Provide Quality
Assurance (QA) /Quality Control (QC) for the aforementioned telecommunications/IT
installations, ensuring as-built drawings, test results, systematics, and
other deliverables are accurate and delivered prior to project close-out. ·
Utilizes industry standards and codes recognized by the
American National Standard Institute (ANSI), Telecommunications Industry
Association (TIA), National Electrical Code (NEC), Military Standards
(MIL-STD), and other government regulations to develop state-of-the-art
telecommunications systems. ·
Responsible for the installation of ISP/OSP
Telecommunications (Cables trays, cable ladders, STP cabling (CAT 5 and
CAT6A), 500PR copper cabling, fiber optics, network cabinets, keystone
connectors)
· Telecommunications
Technical Project Lead and Outside Plant (OSP) Supervisor supporting the 160TH Strategic
Signal Brigade providing technical guidance, assistance and advice on
engineering, design, installation, operations and maintenance of layer 1 and
layer 2 telecommunications infrastructure, Outside Plant (OSP) copper and
fiber optic cables, and building interior structured cabling (BISC). · Conduct
on-site surveys to determine level of service, material and equipment
required to provide service, availability of inside and outside cable plant
to facilitate connectivity, and provide solutions if the existing
infrastructure is deemed inadequate. Generates Independent Government
Cost Estimates (IGCE), Statements of Work (SOW), and prepare a Consolidated
List of Materials (CLOM) required for telecommunications installations,
upgrades, and modifications. ·
Playing a pivotal role in the construction, installation
and Inspection of duct systems, Manholes copper cross connects, area
distribution nodes as well as supporting power systems, fabric mesh inner ducts,
communication cabinets, copper cable and Fiber optic cables ·
Actively involved in the planning and estimation of
communication requirements for the unit with full accountability for
equipment procurement for new and on going projects ·
Responsible for conducting site surveys and the
installation, operation and repair of cable and wire communications
·
Utilizing technical expertise and managerial skills to
facilitate project completion relating to the acquisition and implementation
of engineering and infrastructure systems · Provide engineering
solutions and technical evaluation for telecommunications upgrades,
replacements, and expansions for Military Construction (MILCOM) Projects in
amount of $4,000,000; provide support to locally generated upgrade projects,
and special project generated through customer requirements. ·
